HI, I'M NICOLETTE

― THERE ARE A FEW THINGS I'D LIKE YOU TO KNOW ABOUT ME

1. I crave diversity and novelty.

2. I love people.

3. I’m good with computers.

The combination of these attributes led me to a position as an internal IT consultant for a large company. It was challenging and rewarding work except when the bureaucracy got in the way of meaningful change and innovation. And one day I thought, What if I eliminated all this bs so I could focus on the parts of this job I love and actually do the work?

I noodled on this for some time before I finally accepted a bitter truth: I need to start my own business. (Luckily, I like bitter things.)

A short time later, I was on what will likely be my last vacation for a long time, walking down a street in Berlin talking to my father about the concept of my business when he hit me with my second reality check. To be frank, I’m becoming my father.

You see, he started his IT consulting business 30 years ago. And here I am following, unintentionally, fatefully, in his footsteps. When I asked him if I was dumb, he responded, “If you’re dumb, I’ve been successfully dumb for 30 years.”

So here I am, with Saturday Morning Solutions officially existing in the world. Bringing you the skills I learned working for corporations who, let’s be honest, don’t deserve it as much as you. I value small businesses, shop local whenever I can, and strive to empower my community.

Now that I’m one of you, I look forward to collaborating and forming a community of small businesses supporting one another.

I can’t wait to get started.
